Welcome to my Blog.
My name is Mike Lindegarde. I've been writing code since I was 12 years old. While there is a lot more to me than writing code, it's what I'm most passionate about.
My 10+ year professional career spans a start-up company that didn't quite make it, a small consulting firm, my own consulting firm, a large company, and a larger company. I've had the opportunity to work on software used by NASA, develop cutting edge medical software, numerous websites, software used by libraries across the world, drivers for fitness devices, and apps for my favorite local watering hole. I've even had the opportunity to turn down a job offer from Amazon.
Coming out of college I was your stereotypical cowboy coder. I was the best and no-one could tell me otherwise.
Over the years I've learned that there will always be developers better than me and that I should seek those people out. If I'm lucky I'll have the opportunity to work with them and learn from them. The world has changed a lot since I wrote my first C / C++ game using DirectX 3 and there is no way I can keep up with it on my own.
My goal with this blog is to share whatever I can. I don't claim to be an expert in any one area. I'm just hoping you can find something useful and put it to good use in your project.
